KOTA MARUDU: The Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) is determined to revamp the Sabah Foundation should the local party successfully take control of the state government in the upcoming state elections (PRN).<\/p>\n
Warisan President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal pledged that the party also aims to offer free education beginning at the primary school level.<\/p>\n
Additionally, he said that Warisan plans to increase the number of scholarships available to provide greater opportunities for eligible Sabah students to pursue higher education.<\/p>\n
“God willing, if Warisan is destined to govern after the elections, we will restructure the Sabah Foundation.<\/p>\n
“The Sabah Foundation is wealthy, and we will utilise its funds effectively to assist the people of Sabah, particularly in the education sector,” he said.<\/p>\n
The former Chief Minister of Sabah made these remarks during the Warisan President’s tour in the Kota Marudu parliamentary area on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Mohd Shafie also pledged to establish factories in rural areas, including Kota Marudu, Keningau, and Sipitang, if given the mandate to govern the state.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that such initiatives should be prioritised to create job opportunities for the youth of Sabah.<\/p>\n
He noted that many local youths are currently working in factories across the peninsula due to a lack of job opportunities in their home state.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
