CGC Digital, Credit Bureau Malaysia team up to strengthen MSME financing readiness

KUALA LUMPUR: CGC Digital and Credit Bureau Malaysia (CBM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to help Malaysian micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) better understand their credit standing and improve their readiness to secure financing.

The collaboration combines CGC Digital’s digital platforms and extensive MSME ecosystem with CBM’s expertise in credit information and risk analytics to provide businesses with greater access to financial insights and practical support.

CGC Digital chief executive officer Yushida Husin said many MSMEs face challenges not only in obtaining financing but also in understanding their own credit position and identifying financing solutions best suited to their businesses.

“By combining CBM’s credit insights with the reach of our digital platforms, we can empower more business owners to understand where they stand and take practical steps towards becoming financing-ready,” she said.

Under the partnership, both organisations will explore the development of credit risk models, analytical solutions and joint financial literacy initiatives to strengthen decision-making across Malaysia’s financing ecosystem.

CBM chief executive officer Soo Chin Kang said the collaboration reflected both organisations’ shared commitment to strengthening entrepreneurship, unlocking greater economic value and supporting a more inclusive and resilient Malaysian economy.

CGC Digital said the partnership is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance Malaysia’s digital financing ecosystem while improving access to financing, trusted insights and digital solutions for underserved MSMEs.
